This variety is a scarcer issue than the 4 over 3.  Unlisted in the Standard Catalog of World Coins, this variety can be found in Gilboy.

This coin shows rare evidence of a clashed die on the obverse (pictured left), likely resulting in the broken die along the reverse.

1771 F 2 Reales

Condition:  EF 40 (ANACS)

Krause Mishler #:  87

This one is just plain cool.  It appears to have been struck multiple times on the obverse (pictured right).  Difficult to see in the image, I count 4x separate strikes.

PORTRAIT DESIGN (1772-1821)

Carlos III, Cont.

1772 FM 2 Reales (inverted assayers initials)

A few digs, not too bad, but a little distracting.  Overall, nice coin with original toning.

1779 FF 2 Reales

Condition:  about F

Krause Mishler #:  88.2

Perfectly even wear, despite the condition this is one of my favorite pieces, showing that even worn coins in this series remain attractive.

1781 FF 2 Reales

Condition:  XF

Krause Mishler #:  88.2

Rich, dark toning overall.  Bold, well-centered strike.

Love this coin.  Excellent tone and original surfaces.

Beautiful piece with nice tone.  Strike is just a touch off center.  Excellent details
